Step 1: Set Up Your Wallet

Before mining, you need a Firo wallet to receive your payouts:

• Download the official Firo wallet from firo.org.
• Create a new wallet address dedicated to mining rewards.
• Back up your wallet and recovery phrase securely.
• Ensure your wallet is fully synced with the Firo network.

Step 2: Choose Your Miner

For Firo, the recommended miner is SRBMiner. Make sure to download the latest version compatible with your OS.

Step 3: Connect to Meowpool

Set up your miner to connect to Meowpool using the following stratum URL:

stratum+tcp://meowpool.net:7278

Use your wallet address as the worker name. You can leave the password as “x” or any value.

Example SRBMiner command:

SRBMiner -a MTP -o stratum+tcp://meowpool.net:7278 -u YOUR_WALLET_ADDRESS -p x

Step 4: Start Mining

Run your miner and monitor your hashrate. You can track your shares and earnings on the Meowpool dashboard.

• Check for rejected shares — a small number is normal; many indicate connection or configuration issues.

• Miner not connecting: Ensure your firewall allows outbound TCP to port 7278.

• Pool dashboard not updating: Wait a few minutes and check that your wallet address is correct.
